Vithura Grama Panchayat, located in the eastern hilly region of Thiruvananthapuram district, is notable for its beautiful natural landscape, unique cultural heritage, and the presence of indigenous communities. The governing body is committed to ensuring comprehensive and sustainable development, with the goal of providing better living conditions for all citizens of the Panchayat.

The Grama Panchayat is committed to achieving the following main objectives to elevate the standard of living for every citizen in Vithura Panchayat:
Sanitation and Health:
- Ensure the availability of safe drinking water in all households.
- Provide improved healthcare facilities, especially for the population in the tribal areas.
- Achieve the goal of a completely waste-free Panchayat.
Education and Skill Development:
- Improve the quality of public educational institutions within the Panchayat.
- Provide employment skill training to youth and women, creating opportunities for self-employment and better income.
Agriculture and Environment:
- Promote organic farming and increase agricultural production.
- Protect natural resources.
- Ensure sustainable development by safeguarding forest wealth and environmental beauty.
Basic Infrastructure:
- Ensure excellent road connectivity and improved electricity and internet connectivity in all wards.
Social Justice and Welfare:
- Ensure the welfare of Tribal communities, backward classes, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals.
- Complete the goal of housing for all through projects like the Life Mission.
Governance and Service:
- Implement transparent and efficient e-governance systems to make services easily accessible to citizens.
